Don Joseph
- PhD Student, French and Italian
Don Joseph is a PhD student in French and Francophone Studies. His research focuses on the construction of identity and the imagining of the “postcolonial” Maghreb, Mediterranean, and Sub-Saharan Africa through literature, film, media, art and culture. He is interested in questions of queer identity, the rise of queer activist movements in the 20th and 21st century as well as the intersectionality of race, gender, nonnormative sexuality and Islam.
