PJ Patella-Rey
- Teaching Assistant Professor
PJ Patella-Rey is a Visiting Lecturer in the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies Program. He completed his PhD in Sociology at the University of Maryland. His research and teaching interests include sex work, mediated intimacy, and the performance of gender and sexuality through digital technology. His dissertation examines sex camming through interviews with models. He hosts the Peepshow Podcast and co-founded both the Cyborgology blog and the Theorizing the Web Conference. He is also a local organizer with SWOP Pittsburgh.
