The Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies Program is excited to open the Lynne Layton Internship Award applications for Fall of 2019.  This award offers support for students who are engaged in the study of women, gender, and sexuality, and are interested in working with Pittsburgh non-profit organizations that offer community support and engagement opportunities in the field of GSWS. Internship sites will vary and will be arranged through the GSWS program.

This award is available for Fall 2019 and is supported by a stipend of $1,500 (paid in two installments). Interns will be expected to complete a minimum of 6 hours of service per week, to meet with a faculty mentor, and to present at an internship workshop.

Applications should include a resume, a brief cover letter that describes your interests and qualification, an unofficial transcript, and a list of two faculty recommenders (please include their contact information).  Click here to fill out the application form.

DEADLINE:  Applications for Fall are due by September 16, 2019.

Please note, we expect to open applications for Spring on November 1, 2019.
