Raising Ms. President is about raising the next generation of female political leaders. Studies show that when more women are at the political decision-making table, their presence does make a difference. The problem is, women just don’t want to run. This documentary explores some of the reasons women don’t run for office and uncovers where political ambition begins. For more about the film, see:

Following the documentary screening, a talk-back will allow audience members to discuss the film with a panel local experts. The talk-back will include Associate Professor of Political Science Kristin Kanthak, Pittsburgh Councilwoman Natalia Rudiak, and Executive Director of the PA House Democratic Campaign Committee Ethan Smith. Associate Professor of Sociology Melanie Hughes will moderate. Refreshments will be served.
